#001 Taking the Leap: Welcome to my Blog
Hey, welcome to my first article...ever!
If you go to the About page, you will see I’ve introduced myself already (I’m a good guy), but just as a refresher, here is quick rundown on who I am, what the heck this whole blogging thing is about and our game plan moving forward:
I'm Jorge, a Brazilian creative marketer who landed in Australia years ago. And I've got to say, my passion for creativity, marketing, and self-development is what drives me to keep exploring and growing. And that's what this blog is all about - sharing my journey and insights along the way. Learning is addictive, but without some sort of method to absorb everything that comes to us, all the effort goes to waste in our minds. This blog is a perfect excuse for me to not let the things I am learning evaporate.
You see, I believe that creativity is the main thing that brought me here. It's just that I am unsure of where I am or where I am going. What I do know is that everything I’ve created so far brought light and meaning to my life. I use it for music when I play my piano, when I am working or even when just I am helping someone - creativity is there and we just need to actively notice it.
This blog is my way to actively notice all the creativity around me. I will try to gather all inputs that come to me, organize and make sense of them, and share them here for whoever cares.
So, let's jump right in! My articles will be short, sweet, and packed with all information that I think might help someone somewhen. I understand the importance of keeping things clear and simple, so I've made it a priority to avoid using any technical jargon or overly complicated language. Instead, I aim to present my discoveries in a way that is engaging, straightforward, and easily digestible.
All of this will be organized in a few categories, always linking my learnings to the creativity cornerstone:
- Brain Dump: Join me as I document my professional journey and share insights on storytelling, consumer behavior, sales and persuasion, business ideas, and more (My Career Journey)
- Inside Out: Everything that enriches my soul, expands my knowledge, and helps me grow as a person (My Inner Journey)
- Inspiring Picks: Recommendations, tips and insights from things I love, so someone can enjoy too - music, books, sports and everything else I fall in love with. I will also try to use this category to recognize the importance of multiple people who inspire me on the way (My Gratitude Journey)
Bear in mind though I am an imperative creative curious fella, so probably all this can change tomorrow, please do not get mad at me!
I'm eager to start this journey and share what I am learning. Whether you're a marketer, a creative, or just someone looking to improve, this blog will have something for you (that's what I hope).
